The Terasem Space Day Colloquium of 2024 will be held on July 20, via Zoom, from 10am ET to 1pm ET.
July 20 is the anniversary of the first human landing on the Moon. This Terasem Colloquium will explore old and new radically optimistic futurisms including Italian futurism, Russian and modern cosmism, extropy, and e/acc (the new kid on the futurist block).
There’ll be six speakers, each with a half an hour time slot for a talk and Q/A.
Confirmed speakers so far:
Riccardo Campa, author of a treatise on the philosophy of Italian futurism (2012) and many works on futurism, philosophy, and sociology.
Ben Goertzel, author of “A Cosmist Manifesto” (2010) and many works on futurism, science, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Robin Hanson, author of “The Age of Em: Work, Love and Life when Robots Rule the Earth” (2016) and many works on futurism, science, and economy.
Alan Kazlev, creator of the Orion’s Arm collaborative science fictional universe.
James Pethokoukis, author of “The Conservative Futurist: How to Create the Sci-Fi World We Were Promised” (2023).
