Call for papers: Terasem's Journal of Personal Cyberconsciousness
Vol. 11, Issue 1 - 2023. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine consciousness.
Terasem will restart publishing the Terasem Journals: The Journal of Geoethical Nanotechnology and The Journal of Personal Cyberconsciousness.
Terasem is issuing a call for papers for The Journal of Personal Cyberconsciousness Vol. 11, Issue 1 - 2023, to be published in December. The issue will be focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine consciousness.
A related Terasem Colloquium dedicated to AI and machine consciousness will be held on December 14, via Zoom. The authors of the papers accepted for publication in the Journal will be encouraged to also give a talk at the Colloquium, and the speakers invited to give a talk at the Colloquium will be encouraged to also write a paper for the Journal.
In The Journal of Personal Cyberconsciousness, we explore the diverse aspects of non-flesh-based consciousness that can potentially arise from advanced machine-based computers. Our journal covers a wide range of disciplines, including mathematics, physics, engineering, philosophy, psychology, biology, socio-economics, and law. We're interested in exploring topics such as how consciousness can be transferred from a human being to a machine, how it can emerge in a computer, and how it can be transferred to a nanotechnological or cellular-regenerated body. We're also interested in the development of mindware that can enable consciousness to emerge from someone's lifetime experiences stored in digital substrates and media.
We welcome submissions from experts in any of these fields, as well as from those exploring the potential of non-flesh-based consciousness. Whether you're interested in theoretical explorations or practical applications, we're excited to hear your ideas and contribute to the ongoing discussion about the future of cyberconsciousness.
Submissions are welcome. Articles can be submitted to terasemjournals@gmail.com, or directly to me (please use Google Drive if you send an article to me).
